Umran Malik About His Bowling Idol After Comparing To Waqar Younis.

So how did Umran Malik find so much of recognition and attention in recent days compared to the others?

It was in fact a dream come true moment not only for the player but mainly for his father too. Who when was asked that how he feels his son getting recognition for the cricket world’s best? In response, he said, that he only desires to see his playing for the Indian Jersey.

Currently, the player has been selected for the Ind vs SA T20I series, held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium from June 9th onwards and will expected to showcase and entertain once again all of us with his speed and action.

In an interview the player was asked about his comparison being made with the veteran Pakistani bowler, Waqar Younis and is there something he wants to add about? In response the young and clever, cricketer responded by saying,

“I have not followed Waqar Younis. I have a natural action. My idols include (Jasprit) Bumrah, (Mohammed) Shami and Bhuvneshwar (Kumar) bhai. I used to follow them when I was playing while coming through the ranks,”

He was also asked about how he feels and whether he has plans to win games singlehandedly. In response Umran said,

“Firstly, I am really grateful for all the love and respect that I have been getting from all over India. Relatives and other people keep coming home, it feels very good. I have been a bit busy after the IPL, but have not missed training and practice”

“There’s no point getting carried away. If it is destined to happen, it will Inshallah. I want to do my best for my country. I have got an opportunity in these five (T20I) matches (against South Africa). My goal will be that we win all five matches, I perform well and single-handedly win those games for India”

In the past season of TATA IPL, Umran played along with Bhuvi (Bhuveneshwar Kumar) and if continues his momentum the same way, the day aren’t far for the budding player to reach heights like never before.
