Rod Stewart had the scare of his life when his young son was rushed to hospital with a suspected heart attack after collapsing while playing soccer.
The legendary rocker relived the moment in a new interview with FourFourTwo, telling the magazine his 11-year-old son Aiden was “going blue” when paramedics took him away in an ambulance from his Young Hoops Under-12s match in Scotland.
“We thought my boy had a heart attack,” Stweart told the outlet, without revealing when the incident occurred. “He was going blue and was unconscious until he calmed down. It was scary, but it turned out to be a panic attack. The lad wanted to do well, pulled on the Hoops in Scotland for his dad.”

“Another boy fell backwards and banged his head – he’s still not back. In all of my days watching football, that’s the only time two ambulances had been called.”
Doctors later determined Aiden suffered a panic attack, not a heart attack, much to Stewart’s relief.
The singer shares Aiden with his wife of 15 years, Penny Lancaster. The couple also share another son, 16-year-old Alastair. In addition, Stewart has six other children from previous relationships and marriages.

His eldest son, reality TV star Sean Stewart, was also hospitalised last month after he was hit by a truck in a terrifying accident.
“I got hit by a truck at a red light,” Sean 42, captioned a pic of himself wearing a hospital gown, neck brace and face mask. “Hard out here on these streets.”
It has been a heartbreaking last few months for the rocker. In September, he revealed his brother, Don, just 48 hours before the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
“It has been a devastating 48 hours. We lost my brother Don on Tuesday at 94 and today we have all lost Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at 96,” Stewart wrote on Instagram at the time.
“The Queen has been an unwavering presence throughout my life and a great unifier. A shining star that will never fade in our hearts and souls.”

Then last month, Stewart revealed that his brother Bob died passed away, aged 88.
“It’s with great sadness that I announce the loss of my brother Bob last night, who joins my brother Don on the great football pitch in the sky,” Stewart paid tribute on Instagram. “I’ve lost two of my best mates in the space of two months. RIP Don and Bob ‘irreplaceable buddies.'”
