Hanuma Vihari who is the middle order batsman in the Indian national team due to his below par performance has raised concerns of many especially including the former Indian captain Md. Azharhuddin.
Azharuddin, taking slight dig at the Vihari said, due to Ajinkya’s place being vacant, Vihari has got hat place but he can not rest due to that making just 50s and 60s but in fact need to score big runs in order to stay inside the Indian cricket team.
“It’s very important for him to get the big scores. He has to score hundreds to grab the chance. Scoring only 50s and 60s is not really going to help him. He is an outstanding player. But you can play for India for a long time only when you get the big runs consistently,”

Taking the conversation further, the former captain also spoke about the Hardik Pandya and his brother saying, that his injuries are a bit of concern but while speaking of his brother Krunal, Azharuddin wasn’t very sure whether could it up to. However, for Hardik, he called him as an asset for the white ball squad.
“He has the ability, he has done well for the Indian team, but because of the injuries, he was not in the team consistently. He has come back now; he is bowling his four overs. How long he will bowl we really don’t know. But we definitely want him to bowl since he is an all-rounder.”
But for Hardik, Azharuddin also stressed, that if Hardik needs consistency. In the final match against the Rajasthan Royals, Hardik’s performance was really commendable where he not only helped his team with adding 34 runs but also fetched 3 wickets for his team, restricting their opponents to 130 runs.
