ICC Announce Men’s FTP Cycle India Will Play138 international matches from 2023 to 2027


The ICC (International Cricket Council) on Wednesday announced the Men’s Future Tour Program (FTP) for 2023-2027. In this FTP all cricket teams’ schedule in all formats is present. In total, 777 international matches have been scheduled in the meantime when 12 teams, Team India will play 138 matches. This includes 173 Tests, 281 ODIs, and 323 T20 Internationals. This is 83 more than the last FTP.

777 international matches between Talking about the schedule of the Indian team, Team India will play 27 ODIs before the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. In this program cycle, the Indian team will also play a five-match Test series against Australia and England. India is going to play 44 Tests, 63 ODI, and 76 T20 matches during this FTP program from 18 August 2022 to February 2027.

During this, the England team will play the maximum number of Test matches. England will play 22 Test matches in the meantime. The Australian team will play 21 test matches and the Indian team will play 20 test matches.

Apart from the bilateral cricket series, the four-year-old FTP will also play one edition of each of the ICC Cricket World Cup and the Champions Trophy. While two editions each of the T20 World Cup and World Test Championship finals will be played.

Let us tell you that in this FTP, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy played between India and Australia has become 5 Test matches instead of 4. In December-January 2024-25, the Indian team will play a 5-match Test series in Australia. The Indian team will also play a 5-match Test series with England in this next FTP.

September 2023: Asia Cup

October-November 2023: ODI World Cup

June 2024: T20 World Cup

February 2025: Champions Trophy

June 2025: World Test Championship 2023-25

September 2025: Asia Cup

February 2026: T20 World Cup
