The Vallelongas are well known in Hollywood. Their father is Tony Lip, who is best known for playing Carmine on The Sopranos and he also appeared on Goodfellas.

In the film, Shirley was played by actor Mahershala Ali, while Tony is portrayed by Viggo Mortensen, who was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar in 2019. Frank played Tony’s other brother, Rudy Vallelonga.
The took home three awards from five nominations, winning Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali, and Best Original Screenplay.
